GW Notes: One of just a couple of times that I have ever played a golf course as a single, I stopped while on the road delivering magazines to tee it up at Three Rivers Golf Course. I enjoyed the serene and scenic layout. Its location is not far from Kelso but feels well off the beaten path. The layout offers plenty of variety, with water, sand, and trees awaiting squirrely shots. Conditioning is fine from tee thru greens so if you can steer your ball away from badness, scores can be made. They claim the course is built on a base of sand and silt, so it drains well and is a popular wet weather course. Amenities include a driving range, putting/chipping green, cart rentals, and food & beverage. Three Rivers is worthy of a play when traveling SW Washington.
