GW Notes: I’ve played The Classic Golf Club although it was quite a few years ago. The good news is the course has only improved over the years and it was in good shape even back when I played it. A challenging layout awaits with tall trees, elevation changes, and large, slick greens giving the Classic its bite. Accuracy off the tee is critical lest you enjoy scrambling for a score. If your driver however, finally decides to cooperate, a decent score is certainly obtainable. The time I played was during the summer, so I cant speak to their proclamation of being one the driest winter courses around. But since PGA Tour golfer Ryan Moore is involved with ownership of the course, I’ll take any of their statements at face value. The Classic Golf Club is definitely worth going out of your way to give it a play. Comments on the course are welcome below.
