GW Notes:  Since they don’t do a great job of self-promotion, it’s a good thing that I’ve played the Royal City Golf Course. It’s a 9-holer with dual tees so playing 18-holes is a different look the 2nd time around. The layout is pretty good, offering enough length, doglegs, native grasses, sage, and sand. It was a while back that I last played Royal City, but at least on that day, I was happy with the conditioning. Fairways were nicely mown and greens in decent shape. They offer modest amenities; however, an RV Park awaits those traveling the area in their rolling home. If you’ve played Royal City GC recently, please leave your thoughts below.
