GW Notes:  I've played Raspberry Ridge Golf Course a couple of times and can attest to their claim as a well-maintained winter course. Both times I played were in the winter months (one in a Pro-Am in January and the course was nearly a hockey rink:-) Anyway, very few, if any other Whatcom County courses were playable those days, but Raspberry Ridge was ok. Dual tees allow for this 9-hole layout to be played twice for an 18-hole feel. Overall, it's not that long (5,170 yds.) but there is enough trouble in the form sand and water to make shooting par no easy task. Large, well-maintained greens put a premium on putting, and on clear days, Mt. Baker appears only a driver and long iron away! A small pro-shop and surprisingly tasty restaurant round out the facilities. Affordable rates, power and pull cart rentals are also part of the deal. Raspberry Ridge being shortish, flat, and dry, tends to be a favorite of the older crowd, which means it can get busy. Make sure you get a tee time before heading out to the course. We'd appreciate your feedback in the comments below.
