I've played Indian Canyon Golf Course a couple of times and can definitely recommend it. Excellent course conditions and unique layout make for a challenging yet fair test. In addition to being the annual host of the Rosauers Open Invitational, they promote their course like this: "Indian Canyon was designed in 1930 by H. Chandler Egan and has been chosen by Golf Digest many times as one of the top 25 public courses in the United States. The Canyon sits atop the west entrance to Spokane, overlooking the city. Indian Canyon requires accuracy from the tee to the green. The site of many major tournaments, Indian Canyon has hosted the U.S.G.A. three times; the United States Amateur Public Links Championship in 1941 and 1984; and the United States Women's Amateur Public Links Championship in 1989. Built on a canyon wall with a vertical drop of 240 feet amid many towering pines, the Canyon offers a very diverse and unique playing environment. It is well bunkered and has undulating greens which require a deft touch if par of 71 is to be achieved over the hilly 6,255 yards." You have to play Indian Canyon when in the Spokane area. 'Nuff said. Comments are welcome below.
