starburst 200aSince I live in Bellingham, I play Avalon Golf links several times each year. It features 27 distinct holes over north, west, and south nines. Bunkers, water, and native grasses await errant shots, but the layout is fair and rewards good play. The greens are a treat but keep an eye on where the valley sits. All putts break that way, especially on the south nine. And if the superintendent is in a particularly feisty mood, the greens can get scary fast! The Sweet Bite Cafe serves up Breakfast and Lunch fare including beer & adult beverages. Two practice greens and a full driving range are included in the Avalon experience.

I played this summer and I felt like Tiger off the tee. Dry fairways had the ball rolling an extra 30 yards. I liked the layout, and the greens were in good shape. I'll definitely play it again
